88424_Rhino 2
July 2019 Elective

Rhino 2 is a course intended for those looking to advance their grasp of Rhinoceros 3D in a professional context. As the course won’t spend a long time on the basics of the software, it is suitable for students that are fairly comfortable with 3D modelling and 2D drafting in Rhino, as well as students who have attempted rendering in the past. The course will build on an existing skill set, using advanced tips, tricks and commands. Classes will focus on complex 3D modelling, furniture design, basics of GRASSHOPPER, digital fabrication, V-RAY rendering as well as detailed 2D orthographic in colourful graphic styles.

At the end of the course students will have a confidence in modelling complex geometry, using grasshopper to speed up their workflow, produce highly detailed drawings, and presentation ready renders of any design. While assistance will be provided, proficiency with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator is encouraged as the course will often jump across platforms, commonly used in design professions, with basic degrees of assumed knowledge.

Courses will run Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9am-4pm, between the 8th and 19th of July, with assignments due on both weekends, and daily homework tasks between classes.
