Light, materials, form and space are the fundamental elements that create, define and transform human environments. Through careful composition and enhancement of these elements, the human experience can be shifted, elevated, orientated and guided. In this subject, students discover the dialogue between the tangible and intangible elements of space, explore effects that spatial forms, lighting, colour and materials can have on the experience and interpretation of an interior space. There is a strong emphasis on learning by playing and experimenting with different light sources and materials. This Spring the subject will be exciting because the class will be teaming up with the Sydney Fringe Festival to create immersive installations in their performance venues.
